The $45 + GST tryout fee includes both tryout sessions for the age category selected during registration. Athletes are strongly encouraged to attend both sessions to provide the Selection Committee with the best opportunity to evaluate their skills and overall performance.
Athletes wishing to try out for two age categories must register separately for each age category.
Tryouts include skill evaluation, volleyball drills and game-based activities. Athletes will be assessed in areas such as passing, setting, serving, blocking, attacking, defense, tactical understanding, communication, team play, attitude and behaviour. Athletes 15U and older will also be evaluated on position-specific skills.
Please note that FVVC tryouts are closed to parents and guardians. Athletes should be dropped off, checked in and picked up at the conclusion of their session.
Registration closes at noon the day prior to the first tryout session. No exceptions.
